What to Look for in a Supplement Company
A trustworthy buying decision is easier when a company makes important information easy to find.
Useful questions
- Are ingredient amounts and other ingredients clearly listed?
- Does the company explain its manufacturing and quality practices without relying only on vague superlatives?
- Can you find contact information, policies and a clear way to ask questions?
- Are health claims appropriately limited and supported?
- If guarantees or certifications are advertised, are the terms and scope clear?
Transparency beats hype
No company is made trustworthy by a single badge, slogan or testimonial. Look for consistency between the product label, quality information, customer policies and the claims used to sell the product.
Boundary: a company's reputation or quality practices do not prove that a supplement will treat a medical condition.
