Meet Bart James.
A registered nurse bringing a lifetime of wellness experience and plain-language healthcare education to better everyday decisions.
Wellness Lens Guide was created by Bart James, a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a professional background that includes emergency nursing. Before nursing, Bart owned a wellness practice, but God eventually redirected his path into healthcare and nursing.
Over years of caring for patients and families, Bart has repeatedly seen how difficult health and wellness information can be to understand. Labels are complicated. Marketing claims can sound more certain than the evidence behind them. And people are often left trying to make decisions without a clear way to separate useful information from hype.
His wife, Julia, shares the same passion for making wellness easier to understand and helping people turn good information into practical steps while making thoughtful choices about what they put into their bodies.
Wellness Lens Guide was created to make those decisions easier to understand.
The site focuses on plain-language education about supplement labels, ingredient quality, sourcing, testing, evidence, and the kinds of questions consumers can ask before making a purchase.
Bart's connection to Nature's Sunshine and herbal wellness goes back to childhood. His mother began helping people with herbs in the early 1980s, and Bart grew up around that tradition. He also had the privilege of being raised around Tommie Bass, a well-known Southern herbalist whose knowledge of regional plants and traditional herbal practices became part of the environment in which Bart learned about wellness.
Some pages may include clearly disclosed Nature's Sunshine referral links, and Bart may receive compensation from qualifying purchases. That relationship does not change the educational standard of the site.
Wellness Lens Guide does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe treatment, replace a physician or pharmacist, or promise that supplements can cure, treat, or prevent disease.
The goal is simply to help people see wellness choices more clearly and make better-informed decisions.
